New Delhi, October 13 : The Indian Culinary Forum staged its 22nd Annual Chef Awards today at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, presenting an evening of recognition, inspiration, and culinary excellence. From last 22 years, the event brings together top chefs and innovators from around the country to compete in 12 categories that celebrate exceptional skill, creativity, and innovation in Indian gastronomy.

Ms.Mugda Sinha ( IAS), the Managing Director of ITDC, in her key note address hailed the event as the gathering of heroes. “Indian cuisine stands as a vibrant testament to the nation’s cultural richness, and its chefs are emerging as global ambassadors of this legacy” she said. Emphasizing the pivotal role of chefs, Ms. Sinha remarked, “India has long pioneered the art of creating balanced diets through the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda, harmonizing the energies of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. This ancient culinary science, blending nourishment with philosophy, remains one of India’s greatest contributions to the world of gastronomy. Indian chefs today must carry this legacy forward; sharing with the world not just our flavours, but the holistic essence of balance, wellness, and mindful living that defines India’s food heritage.”
“Today, India’s chefs are not just cooking; they’re curating experiences that elevate hospitality and redefine global palates. Their professionalism and artistry have placed Indian food on the world map. It’s also heartening to see women chefs stepping forward, embodying the spirit of resilience and innovation. These invisible heroes of food continue to nourish lives and celebrate India’s soulful essence.” Ms.Sinha added.
A landmark highlight of the evening is the unveiling of “Culinary Art India 2025,” a special magazine showcasing the latest culinary trends and top talent shaping the nation’s food culture. The awards event also features the 13th Knowledge Summit, turning the spotlight on “Tradition to Technology: Strategies for Success in the Culinary World,” and promoting discussion on innovation, wellness, and modern culinary education. This grand gathering not only honors India’s leading chefs but also fosters dialogue, learning, and advancement in culinary arts, making it a pivotal occasion for India’s gastronomy and hospitality community.
