All seats to see ‘Gau Bhakt’ candidates; 29-district journey begins
A new political front seems to be taking shape in Bihar ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj has announced a state-wide movement titled the ‘Gau Matdata Sankalp Yatra’ (Cow Voter Resolution March). Through this campaign, he aims to infuse Sanatani ideology into the political discourse of Bihar.
The Shankaracharya declared that ‘Gau Bhakt’ (cow devotee) candidates will contest from all Assembly seats in the state. His 29-district yatra will highlight issues related to cow protection, dharma, and social unity. Political observers see this as a strategic move to mobilize the religious and traditional voter base, potentially altering Bihar’s political equations.
