Calls on citizens to uphold unity and work towards an Aatmanirbhar and developed India

Srinagar, October 31: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha led the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ celebrations at Raj Bhawan by administering the Unity Pledge to officers and staff, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to oneness and integrity.

The occasion marked the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, whose efforts laid the foundation for a united nation.

Paying glowing tributes to Patel, the Lieutenant Governor urged everyone to emulate his vision and dedication in building an Aatmanirbhar and developed India. “Administered the Unity Pledge to Raj Bhawan officers and staff and paid tributes to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on his 150th birth anniversary. Urged all to work with dedication for an Aatmanirbhar and developed India,” LG Sinha posted on X.

The ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ or National Unity Day is celebrated every year on October 31 to commemorate Sardar Patel’s immense contribution to the nation’s unity and integrity.
