State cabinet approves 144 new posts across security forces while launching aviation training and digital infrastructure initiatives


The Chhattisgarh cabinet has sanctioned the establishment of a Special Operations Group (SOG) within the state police force, alongside anti-narcotics task forces across ten districts. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presided over Wednesday’s cabinet session, which approved 44 positions for the SOG a rapid-response unit designed to neutralize terrorist threats and handle critical emergencies.
Additionally, 100 posts were greenlit for Anti-Narcotics Task Forces in Raipur, Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Durg, Bastar, Surguja, Kabirdham, Jashpur, Rajnandgaon, and Korba districts. The cabinet also endorsed operational frameworks for Flight Training Organisations at state airports, the Chhattisgarh Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025-26, and a Cloud First Policy mandating government departments to utilize approved cloud services. A Mobile Tower Scheme targeting remote and insurgency-affected regions was approved to strengthen digital connectivity.
