Srinagar, September 26, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a comprehensive Unified Headquarters meeting at Raj Bhawan today, addressing multiple strategic initiatives for Jammu & Kashmir’s security and development.
Security Operations Continue Despite Progress
During the high-level meeting attended by Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, and senior officials from armed forces and intelligence agencies, LG Sinha congratulated security forces for recent successful anti-terror operations. However, he emphasized that “war against terrorism is not over yet,” directing continued kinetic and non-kinetic operations with a ‘Whole of Government Approach’ to combat radicalization and drug trafficking.
12 Tourist Destinations Set to Reopen
Following thorough security assessments, the administration announced reopening of 12 tourist spots from September 29, previously closed after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Seven locations in Kashmir Division include Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanner, and Dara Shikoh Garden, while five Jammu Division sites feature Dagan Top, Shiv Cave Salal, and Chinkah Reasi.
Digital Platform Launched for Military Personnel Welfare
LG Sinha inaugurated the Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra web portal (lgssk.jk.gov.in), developed by BISAG-N. This digital platform will streamline grievance logging and tracking for serving Armed Forces and CAPF personnel, operating through offices in both Jammu and Srinagar Civil Secretariats.
