Vote counting at KLS College shows early NDA dominance across all five assembly constituencies in the district

NAWADA, November 14, 2025 :Vote counting commenced at 8 AM today at KLS College in Nawada district, revealing early trends strongly favoring the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) across all five assembly constituencies.

In the high-stakes Warisaliganj seat, BJP’s Aruna Devi is maintaining a lead over RJD’s Anita Devi, wife of strongman Ashok Mahto . This contest represents a decades-long rivalry between two powerful political families in the region.

Early trends from Hisua show BJP’s Anil Singh leading with 2,976 votes, while Congress candidate Nitu Kumari trails at 1,902 votes . In Rajauli, Lok Janshakti Party’s Vimal Rajbanshi is ahead with 16,969 votes, maintaining a margin of 3,012 over RJD’s Pinki Bharti .

In Nawada constituency, JD(U)’s Vibha Devi is leading with 3,141 votes, holding a 1,335-vote margin over RJD’s Kaushal Yadav . Counting has also begun in Gobindpur, where early trends are still emerging.

Before counting began, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha visited Ashok Dham temple for prayers, expressing confidence in NDA’s victory. Security arrangements have been heightened with CCTV monitoring and central armed police forces deployed across counting centers .

Statewide, the NDA has crossed the 160-seat mark in early trends, surpassing the 122-seat majority threshold in the 243-member assembly . Final results are expected by afternoon.
