Explosives-laden vehicle rammed into camp wall in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area; attacker and three militants killed. TTP claims responsibility for one of the deadliest recent strikes.

A suicide bombing rocked a Pakistani Army camp near the Afghan border in North Waziristan, killing seven soldiers and injuring 13 others, according to initial reports. The attack occurred in the Mir Ali area, a region long known for militant activity.

As per Reuters, the assault began when militants rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the camp’s boundary wall. The driver was killed instantly in the blast, while three other attackers attempting to breach the compound were gunned down in retaliatory fire by Pakistani forces.

Despite local media confirming casualties, Pakistani military officials claimed no personnel were killed. Videos of the fiery explosion and emergency evacuations, showing injured soldiers being airlifted by helicopter, have gone viral on social media.

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that its Khalid bin Waleed suicide squad and Gulbahar faction jointly executed the operation.

Authorities have deployed combat helicopters across the border region amid heightened alert. This marks one of the most severe militant assaults in North Waziristan in recent months.
