Airlines issue advisories as escalating Iran–US conflict triggers operational restrictions across UAE airports

Air travel between India and the United Arab Emirates faced disruptions on Sunday as airlines adjusted schedules amid the escalating conflict between Iran and the United States. Both IndiGo and Air India issued advisories warning passengers of flight changes and cancellations, particularly on routes to Dubai.

IndiGo said evolving security restrictions in the Middle East have forced modifications to several flights to and from Dubai, urging travellers to check flight status before heading to the airport.

Air India, following directives from UAE airport authorities, significantly curtailed its operations on March 15. The airline will operate only one Delhi–Dubai return flight, while four other scheduled services have been cancelled. Its subsidiary Air India Express also scaled back operations, cancelling most Dubai services and suspending all five flights to Abu Dhabi for the day.

Passengers affected by cancellations have been offered free rebooking or full refunds as airlines attempt to manage disruptions caused by the intensifying regional crisis.
