Rohtak-born gang leader, wanted for murders and extortion in Delhi and Punjab, is listed in ICE custody near Las Vegas

New Delhi, October 24: Himanshu Bhau, a fugitive gangster wanted in India for several murders and extortion cases, has been detained in the United States and is in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), officials said on Saturday.

The US government’s online detainee locator lists two Indian-born men, Himanshu Sigroha and Neeraj Kaushik, as being held at the Henderson Detention Center outside Las Vegas, Nevada. Their cases are handled by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations office in Las Vegas.

Bhau, 26, is originally from Rohtak. He fled India in 2022 after being named in three murders committed within 25 days. Delhi Police say he travelled through Dubai and towards Portugal before reaching the US. Officials also said he had spent more than two years hiding in Canada.

His gang has been linked to several high-profile crimes. Two of its sharpshooters were arrested over the August 17, 2025, firing at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s home in Gurugram. They told police they were acting on orders from jailed gangster Neeraj Faridpuria and Bhau, who had allegedly arranged weapons, money and logistics.

Bhau also claimed responsibility on social media for the 2024 killing of a 26-year-old man at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden, calling it revenge for the 2020 murder of an associate. Gangster Sunil Sardhaniya, allegedly linked to the gang, claimed the killing of an aide of Haryanvi singer Fazilpuria in Gurugram.
