Siddharth Anand’s action drama, also starring Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone, hits theatres on December 2
Mumbai, October 27: Shah Rukh Khan has unveiled a striking new poster for his upcoming film King, set for a Christmas release on December 24.
The poster shows the superstar striding through flames with a rose between his teeth, a gun in hand and an intense look on his face. In his Instagram caption, Khan described himself as a lover rather than a killer, a playful nod to the title song of his 1999 film Baadshah.
The film’s title was revealed on Khan’s 60th birthday last November, along with a first glimpse of the actor in a silver-haired, action-hero avatar delivering the line “Darr nahi, dehshat hoon”. The release date was announced in January.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the trailer. In a recent #AskSRK session, Khan assured them he was not making them wait on purpose. He said the team was taking time to get it right and promised everything would be out before December 24.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King reunites the pair after the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan. The ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal and Saurabh Shukla.
The film also marks Khan’s first on-screen pairing with his daughter Suhana, who made her acting debut in The Archies in 2023.
