Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School sent students home early as police and fire teams combed the premises. The sender has not yet been traced

Two schools in central Delhi were evacuated on Friday morning after receiving emails warning of bombs on their campuses. Police and fire officials carried out anti-sabotage checks that turned up nothing suspicious.
According to the Delhi Police and the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the threats targeted Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate and Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School on Barakhamba Road. School authorities said the emails arrived at around 10am, and they immediately began moving students out of the buildings.
In a note to parents, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya confirmed it had received a security threat. It said all students were safe and that classes would resume once the building was cleared.
A separate letter from a school headmistress told parents that the threat was being treated seriously and that students were being dismissed early as a precaution. Parents were asked to collect their children as soon as possible, and school buses were scheduled to leave ahead of their usual times.
Police teams reached both schools soon after being alerted. Bomb disposal units, dog squads, bomb detection teams and fire personnel searched the campuses for about an hour, officials said, and found no explosives or suspicious objects.
No first information report (FIR) had been registered at the time of reporting, and investigators have not yet identified who sent the emails.
Delhi schools have faced repeated hoax bomb threats in recent years, causing disruption for students, parents and staff. In one earlier case, police traced a threat to a Class 11 student who had hoped to stretch her weekend. Despite using a free VPN, she was identified.
Investigations into Friday’s emails are continuing.
