Bhushan Kumar confirms franchise expansion after overwhelming audience response to patriotic war drama
T-Series chief Bhushan Kumar has officially announced ‘Border 3’ following the phenomenal success of ‘Border 2’ at the box office. The patriotic war film, currently dominating theaters, has garnered critical acclaim and record-breaking collections during its opening weekend, resonating strongly with both audiences and the younger generation.
Kumar confirmed that the production will be a joint venture between T-Series and JP Films, helmed by JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, reviving their successful partnership. The collaboration promises to blend JP Dutta’s masterful storytelling with T-Series’ high-production values, continuing their tribute to the Indian Army’s valor.
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ serves as the sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’. The film features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty in pivotal roles and was released on January 23, ahead of Republic Day.
“The film has received such overwhelming love from audiences that stopping this franchise is impossible. We will take it forward,” stated Bhushan Kumar.
