At the Vijayadashami address in Nagpur, the RSS chief says agitations bring no solutions, amid ongoing protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar

Nagpur, October 20: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Tuesday that attempts to “dismantle” India and the Sangh would fail. He said it was a mistake to believe that changing the government changes circumstances.

Speaking at the RSS Vijayadashami Utsav, Bhagwat said India was being targeted because it was progressing. He referred to a “storm from the West” hostile to the country’s culture and security, and cited France, Nepal and Bangladesh as examples of countries where outside forces had pushed regime change. He said politically motivated or instigated protests create tension and disorder, and that real solutions come from within society.

The Regime Change Debate

His remarks follow a row over lawyer Prashant Bhushan’s comment that the anti-SIR protests had become a fight for regime change. The BJP called the protests a smokescreen. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has rejected the charge.

Development with Balance

Bhagwat also called for development that respects ecology and ethics, citing the recent floods in Nepal as a warning for the Himalayan region. He stressed the need to protect India’s diversity.
