Heavy snowfall across the Himalayan region has severely disrupted daily life. Himachal Pradesh recorded minimum temperatures between -6°C and -1°C after Wednesday’s intense snowfall, with Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti registering the lowest at -6.1°C.

Auli in Chamoli district received approximately 2 feet of fresh snow on Wednesday. Authorities have issued avalanche warnings across the state.
The mountain weather is impacting plains states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, where cold conditions and fog have intensified.
