Solo biker Deepak Bharadia embarks on nationwide journey to promote sustainable development, national unity, and eco-tourism; LG highlights Ladakh’s emerging role in adventure and youth-led initiatives


Kargil, October 24: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, today flagged off the solo motorbike expedition ‘Mission Bharat’ from Raj Niwas, Kargil. The expedition, led by social entrepreneur and biker Deepak Bharadia from Pune, marks the beginning of a 7,500-km journey from the icy mountains of Ladakh to Kanyakumari, concluding at Pune via India’s western coast.
The initiative aims to empower local communities, raise awareness on sustainable development, and strengthen national integration through citizen participation. Commending Bharadia’s spirit of adventure, LG Kavinder said the journey reflects the true ethos of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”uniting people from diverse regions through shared purpose.
Highlighting Ladakh’s role as a centre for eco-tourism, adventure, and youth innovation, the LG reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to making the UT a hub of education, culture, and environmental stewardship under the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
He added, “Ladakh has always been a land of inspiration and courage, symbolising India’s unity in diversity.”
