In a firm declaration ahead of the Bihar assembly polls, LJP (RV) chief Chirag Paswan says his allegiance rests with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and nowhere else

Union Minister and Chirag Paswan has reinforced his allegiance to Narendra Modi, saying his loyalty is unwavering and that he has no intention of shifting alliances after the Bihar election results. The LJP (RV) leader was speaking on the eve of the second phase of the state elections when he stated, “The only person, after my parents, whom I hold in that place of respect and love … is the Prime Minister. As long as he is there, I cannot even think of parting ways with the BJP.”

Paswan asserted that his presence in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was driven by his faith in Modi personally, rather than party politics alone. “Of course,” he responded when asked if his alliance was solely because of Modi.

He further projected confidence in the NDA’s prospects in Bihar, pointing to what he described as a cohesive alliance confronting a fragmented opposition, and said his focus remains on consolidating strength rather than dwelling on rivals.

With the Bihar assembly results scheduled for November 14, Paswan’s remarks are seen as signalling both commitment to the central leadership and intent to stay firmly aligned within the NDA framework ruling out any post-poll volte-face.
