Victims were allegedly forced into a vehicle after a confrontation in Wazirpur; police identify suspects and launch search

New Delhi, September 5: Two men, including the son of a police officer, were allegedly abducted and assaulted following a confrontation in northwest Delhi’s Wazirpur, police said on Saturday.
A case has been registered in connection with the incident, which police suspect was linked to an earlier fight in the area. The accused have been identified and efforts are underway to arrest them.
Police said a PCR call was received at Ashok Vihar police station regarding an alleged assault and the forcible removal of two men near Shiv Shankar Chowk in Wazirpur.
According to the complaint, Udit Kumar, 26, and Nitin, 24, were near a veterinary hospital when several men travelling in three vehicles allegedly tried to abduct Nitin. Kumar intervened, following which the two were allegedly assaulted, threatened and forced into a vehicle.
The men were later allegedly taken to the Gujranwala Town area and dropped near Vinayak Hospital before the accused fled.
Police said Kumar is the complainant in the case and confirmed that he is the son of a police officer. Further investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events and the role of each accused.
