More than a photo album, the volume charts Prabhu’s journey from CA topper to Cabinet minister to global trade negotiator, unveiled by the Odisha Governor at a special Bhubaneswar function.

A richly illustrated coffee table book titled “Suresh Prabhu: The Man. The Minister. The Polymath.” was launched in Bhubaneswar on June 16, 2026, by Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, who described the former Union Minister as a leader remembered for ideas rather than the offices he held.

Conceived and edited by Sabyasachee Dash, with Om Athavale as creative and narrative director, the book’s USP lies in pairing a milestone-driven biography with an exclusive first-person interview with Prabhu himself, alongside tributes from figures including India Foundation President Dr. Ram Madhav and Pahlé India Foundation Chairman and former NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Rajiv Kumar, both of whom commended the volume as a valuable record of his contributions to governance.

The narrative opens with Prabhu’s roots in Konkan, Maharashtra, before tracing his rise as a Chartered Accountant who topped the All-India CA examination and became the youngest-ever chairman of Saraswat Bank at 36. It charts his four terms as MP from Rajapur and his tenure across seven Union Cabinet portfolios, including Environment, Power, Railways, Commerce, and Civil Aviation, as well as his role as the Prime Minister’s Sherpa at the G20 and G7 summits. A dedicated achievements section spotlights record merchandise exports and a sharp cut in the trade deficit with China, while personal chapters and a diplomatic photo gallery, featuring moments with leaders like Barack Obama, round off the portrait.
