Patna,22 October:RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav launched his party’s election manifesto today, announcing that upon coming to power his government will offer permanent jobs to 10 lakh “Jeevika Didi” beneficiaries with a monthly salary of ₹30,000. He further declared that interest on existing loans will be waived and future credit will be provided on an interest-free basis.
The announcement comes at a juncture of growing tensions within the INDIA alliance, with reports of friction between the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress Party over seat-sharing and joint manifesto planning. Congress leader A G K Ashok Gahlot is expected in Patna to meet Yadav for alliance deliberations. Meanwhile, independent MP Pappu Yadav in Purnia urged that the election should be fought under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, signalling wider coalition dynamics.
