LG Honors 1,500 Young Mathematicians, Urges Outside-the-Box Thinking

Srinagar, October 5, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha felicitated top performers of the ALOHA State Level Arithmetic Operations Contest at University of Kashmir today, emphasizing that Jammu & Kashmir’s growth is directly linked with youth development.
Addressing over 1,500 participating students from across J&K, LG Sinha stated that young people have a mission to transform the region and nation. “With resolve and dedication, they can complete this mission. We will ensure they have the right environment to become talented scholars, scientists and innovators,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor highlighted that arithmetic operations extend beyond numerical calculations, serving as foundations for problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning. He urged students to chart their own paths and adopt entrepreneurial, creative approaches.

“In an unpredictable world, innovation can’t be achieved by following the beaten track. Young generation should be more adventurous and follow outside-of-the-box approaches,” LG Sinha emphasized.
The event was attended by University of Kashmir Vice Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan, ALOHA International Founder Loh Mun Sung, and senior officials from educational institutions.
