Actress announces comeback in ‘Family Business’ alongside Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma; fans celebrate her return to screen

Rhea Chakraborty is making her acting comeback after a five-year break following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in 2020. The actress announced her return at Netflix’s ‘Next On Netflix’ event in Mumbai on Tuesday evening, unveiling her upcoming web series Family Business, co-starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma.
Sharing the series teaser on Instagram, Rhea wrote: “New power comes from old money. When stakes are high, the lines between family and business blur. Watch Family Business, coming soon only on Netflix.”
Fans expressed overwhelming support across social media. One wrote, “Better late than never, congratulations!” while another commented, “So happy to see Rhea back on screen. This comeback is completely deserved.”
Rhea was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau in September 2020 following alleged drug-related WhatsApp chats linked to Rajput’s case. She received bail a month later after surrendering her passport. Recently, the Bombay High Court ruled in her favor, returning her passport after five years.
