At the launch of ‘Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran’, the RJD leader accuses BJP of using Nitish Kumar as a mere face and deploying central forces to manipulate votes

Patna, Oct 28:As the Mahagathbandhan released its election manifesto ‘Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran’ on Tuesday, RJD leader and Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the BJP and Nitish Kumar, claiming that the saffron party will not allow Kumar to return as Chief Minister if the NDA retains power.
“Nitish Kumar is nothing more than a puppet in the BJP’s hands. They are only using his face for votes,” Tejashwi alleged at a press conference in Patna. Citing Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent remarks, he said, “Amit Shah himself clarified that BJP legislators will choose the CM after elections — meaning Nitish Kumar’s chapter is already over.”
Tejashwi further accused the NDA of influencing the electoral process, alleging that “central forces have been strategically deployed to slow down polling” in areas considered strongholds of the Mahagathbandhan.
Positioning himself as the face of the INDIA bloc in Bihar, Tejashwi said, “We have declared our CM candidate transparently. The NDA hasn’t even held a single press conference to name theirs.”
The Mahagathbandhan’s manifesto promises youth employment, agrarian reforms, and stronger social welfare policies aiming to present what Yadav called a “new vision for Bihar’s future.”
