Art and culture magazine marks its first anniversary at The Stainless Gallery with a celebration of craftsmanship, conversation and community

New Delhi, 20 June 2026: Beenest, the bi-annual magazine devoted to art, culture and conscious living, will mark its first anniversary this evening with “A Year of Stories,” a celebratory gathering at The Stainless Gallery in New Friends Colony West, New Delhi. The event begins at 5:00 PM.

Founded by Jaspreet Kaur, a practising architect turned Editor-in-Chief, Beenest emerged a year ago from her long-standing interest in storytelling, heritage and design. Since then, the publication has built a reputation for documenting artists, artisans, craftspeople and cultural practitioners, both well known and overlooked, across India and beyond.

Kaur’s editorial team includes Managing Editor Zubair Sofi, a veteran journalist who has helped shape the magazine’s narrative voice, and Sports Editor Sehan Shetty, founder of mountain sports company Zabarvan, who brings perspectives on adventure and human resilience to its pages.

Tonight’s anniversary gathering will draw artists, designers, collectors, entrepreneurs and cultural practitioners for an evening of reflection and conversation. The programme includes the unveiling of new magazine initiatives alongside discussions on art and culture, along with opportunities for the creative community to connect.

Speaking ahead of the event, Kaur said the milestone celebrates not just the magazine’s first year but the community of voices it has platformed, and the belief that stories can bridge generations and disciplines.

As Beenest enters its second year, the team says it remains committed to uncovering untold narratives and preserving cultural heritage through thoughtful, visually rich storytelling.
